Sapele (Entandrophragma cylindricum) is sourced from Gabon in West Africa and  it is known for its beautiful golden streaks in the grain pattern. The heartwood is usually golden to reddish brown and darkens over time.
Sapele is commonly used for veneer, plywood, furniture, boatbuilding, musical instruments, and small wooden specialty items. The signature golden streaks of Sapele are most distinct when it is quartersawn.
